Hi to all a+ers and all who 'r gonna be

Can anyone answer this riddle
System Pentium 200mmx
OS win 95B
I replaced my current joystick (Genius Flight 2000)(4 axis,4 button,4way hat)
with a
Gravis Firebird2
my system had no problem with the genius but refuses to accept the gravis,
either as
a custom set or any of its emulations.
I continually get "not connected" status returned from the set up.
Ironically it will set up as a 2 axis 2 button device. To add insult I only
changed
sticks because I had broken a spring in the Genius (try land a lear jet with no
L/R centering)

I originally had a ess 1869 card which has now been replaced with a creative
vibra 128 PCI.
I have downloaded replacement drivers.

I am now assuming that it could be a stick fault (it is brand new but hey that's
life)
