I am in college taking many computer information system classes and one of my
classes this semester is an A+ preparation class. My instructor is requiring us
to get two different books. One is an A+ TestPrep book that is full of practice
questions. The other book is a A+ for Dummies (He told us not to laugh. He said
the cdrom that comes with the book is so close to the test that it is why they
have chose to have us get that book as one of our textbooks. And it retails for
$30.00)

Here's what I've been told: I
took a hardware maintenance
class thru the local vo-tech.
The instructor, an extremely
knowledgeable man, had just
taken the test himself, and
then tested various software
courses to see which was the
most like the test he'd
taken. He then chose the
Heathkit course
(www.heathkit.com), and that's
what we studied from in class.
He said the Heathkit software
was the most like the test
itself, and it also gives you
info about which of its
recommended reference books
contain the discussion about
the info on each question.
The whole package is somewhat
expensive, but it includes the
software, several books, and
if you want to pay for them,
test vouchers. I think
various packages are
available... the site will
give you all the info.
