POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Executive Director, Television Archive
The Television Archive (http://www.televisionarchive.org),
a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in the
Presidio of San Francisco, seeks an Executive Director.
The Archive's mission is to preserve the record of
television as broadcast and make it accessible to scholars,
researchers, teachers and students. The role of the Executive
Director will be to bring vision, oversight, funding, and
partners to this new organization.
Qualifications: Experience (and track record) in
fundraising, program development, and nonprofit management.
Experience in allied fields, such as moving image archiving,
broadcast journalism, nonprofit management, entertainment and
intellectual property law or media literacy would also be
desirable.
Responsibilities will include developing partnerships with
both nonprofit and for-profit entities; spearheading and
administering the fundraising process; advocacy for
nonprofit, publicly accessible digital archives; hiring and
supervising a small staff; exercising oversight over technical
projects; and communicating with media and the public.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Please send a
