This group is devoted to discussing and improving the Archos Jukebox 6000 mp3 player and the Archos Jukebox mp3 recorder.
Since the Jukebox-6000 and related family of early Archos (pre iPod) portable MP3 Players have been out of production for several years now, this once active group is now mostly dormant. That said, if you have one of these players you may find lots of good information in the archives of this group on subjects of upgrading, repairing, and modifying these products. You will also find discussions about the alternative "Rockbox" firmware as this product was its first host hardware.
Because much of the new group membership applications we get these days are from spam generating engines or people wishing to abuse Yahoo groups in some way, all new membership applications will get reviewed before acceptance. To distinguish yourself from a spammer, please include a few words in your application telling us that you know what an Archos Jukebox is, and why you are interested in this group. If we are not convinced that you are a real person with genuine interest in these devices then your application will be quietly ignored! Convincing applications should be accepted shortly and you will get welcome access to this group. Thank you for your patience.
