LOL - are you sure you two are not the same guy at two different ages?
He looks more like you than your brother ever would. Maybe he does
more than yourself at that age. It's really amazing.
Sadly I'm still the only Leo-Can-Ari representative, so I can't really
compare myself with others.
What I can say is that, in more populated groups, sometimes people
look quite alike and sometimes they don't so much. There are patterns
of likeness but they may be more subtle sometimes than just the signs.
For instance I have found strange similarities between people who
shared different placements (Moon and Sun, Sun And Asc.) at about the
same degree. My mother and Margaret Thatcher for instance share a
placement in Libra at c. 13º Libra (and they might also share similar
Asc in Scorpio, though this is somewhat speculative) and, while my mum
is a lot prettier, in some pics they do look strikingly alike (and
yes: they are both right wing hardliners with sympathies for Pinochet
- ahem).
In another case, a pen friend of mine happened to look (in her teens)
incredibly like Pippi Langstrum - or rather the actress that played
her in the TV series (Inger Nilsson). When comparing the charts the
only obvious similitude was a setellium Sun-Asc in Taurus (there's
some other stuff, like exactly opposite nodal axis but nothing so
evident (sure that I can't know Ms. Nilsson's exact birth time, what
messes things up a bit).
Yet in another case, a girl that has about the same Sun-Moon
placements as I do (Asc. not sure) looks a lot like I did when I was 8
or 10 years old. But my sister, that shares Moon placement with me but
has Sun square mine (even if both in fire) looks totally different(in
fact, people often gets surprised that we are syblings at all - and I
don't want to ponder what they may think after that, LOL).
What I am trying to say is that the similarities could be more clear
in the cases where the placements are closer by degree and not only by
signs. Maybe signs have sub-sets of 5 or 10 degrees or maybe it's a
gradation along the sign.
On the other hand genetics does play a role as well. Otherwise my
young Tau-Cap-Gem bro would not look like a blond dwarf-like (short,
sturdy) version of myself.
In any case, those two Cap guys similarity is so striking that, would
I not have your word, I'd think they are the same person at different
ages.
Enjoy,
Luis.
