AstroSnap V2.1 on VISTA fails to find PortTalk   Message List

Hi everybody!
Newly installed Astrosnap and PortTalk - calling AstroSnap gives only the RED
MESSAGE saying install PortTalk _B_U_T_ PortTalk is installed (and a shortcut to
allowio is in the AstroSnap installed folder).
I cannot see what is wrong - any hints very welcome !!
