Martin Stirland and I had a great time at NEAF last weekend - there was lots of interest in AstroTrac. We would like to welcome a large number of new AstroTrac owners to the group as a result!
The many people we spoke to were amazed at what can be done with a dSLR camera and lens. We showed several single 5 minutes exposure shots without any processing to demonstrate how respectable results can be obtained with relative ease.
Amongst the top names in astro photography stopping by the stand were Richard Berry, Robert Reeves, Thierry Legault, Don Goldman and Neil Fleming. All expressed a strong interest in AstroTrac (Don bought one there and then!) and we will be revealing more about various collaborations in the near future.
I've uploaded a shot of the stand to the NEAF 2008 folder. Astro Photo Insight videoed an AstroTrac demonstration which you might find useful if you are reading these posts with a view to buying an AstroTrac.
