East Asian Language Joint Session Update   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #313 of 738 |
Dear Everyone,

I have been working with Mr. Tsuchiya from the Japanese Division for
the East Asian Language joint sesson (led by the Japnese Division)
on behalf of KSIG for the past 2 months. The joint session is the
first ATA event for the Korean, Japanese and Chinese
interpreters/translators to work together. As you may already know,
these three languages are the major East Asian languages that
usually go hand in hand for many interpreting and translation
projects. I think that this event is a great opportunity for us to
get to know how the Japanese and Chinese interpreter/translators
work as well as other Korean interpreters/translators.

Below is the summary of the proposal by Mr. Tsuchiya. As you can
see, Mr. Paul Yi and I are assigned to be the speakers representing
the Korean interpreters/translators. Although Paul and I are the
presenters, we would like to know what other Korean
interpreters/translators are interested in discussing.

If anyone has questions or suggestions on the joint session, please
do not hesitate to contact me any time.

Best regards,

Jisu Kim
Korean Interpreter/Translator
