Important: New Orleans Travel Tip   Message List

Dear everyone,

No one has posted on the listserve since the end of May. I hope
everyone had wonderful summer.

I recently talked to a sales manager at La Quinta Inn & Suites in
New Orleans and got a group discout rate for our group, which is
$70/day. If you get a roommate, you will pay only $35/day. The hotel
is less than 5 minutes on foot, or about 2 blocks from the Sheraton.

Please call the hotel and make a reservation before the end of
September. The hotel will still give $70/day until 10/20/06 to
those who will enroll later. But it's better to hurry since they
will hold a minimum of 10 rooms by 9/30/06.

The group confirmation number is 09830047340. It is listed as ATA-
Korean Interpreters. And below is the hotel information.

I also want to add information on transportation between the hotel
and the aiport in New Orleans.

Travel time: about 30 minutes
Taxi: about $30
Aiport Shuttle: $15
KLM Transporation: $12 (Tel: 504-270-3476)

Hope to see many of you in New Orleans.

Best regards,

Jisu Kim

P.S. As some of you already know, the first East Asian Language
joint session, "The World of Two-Byte Characters: East Asian
Language Panel Discussion", will be held at the ATA conference in
November. Among the presenters are Paul Yi and me. We will share a
wealth of infomration among Korean/Japanese/Chinese interpreters and
translators. I hope that those who are attending the conference
attend the session and receive useful information.

Thank you, Jisu, for the wealth of information. I can't believe the Early-bird deadline for the New Orleans conference is approaching so fast! Hope to see...
