Dear Everyone:
I have just read Vannia Haam's E-mail, and I have been actually
receiving about a dozen of e-mail like her. I have received
cashier's checks and also traveler's checks. One time was for
interpretation, and the other time was for the translation project.
However, the amount that I received via UPS was about $5,000.00, so I
had to ask my bank if it was legitimate source of fund. Sometimes,
the bank cannot find out if the check is good or not. I had to
search through google and find out the issuer of the check or the
bank name they put on the check. They used same scam that Vannia
Haam has experienced. They usually pay more than the contract amount
and want me to pay back the extra fund. In my assumption, I think
they would try to withdraw the fund from my bank account or keep the
refund check if The reason I have responded to the attached example
was because Mr. Ben Shark (might be an alias) provided me his address
phone number, e-mail address and his name. He also agreed to my
contract terms. I wish the attached example would help many
translators who try so hard on every project as well as preventing
any further fraud activities.
Thank you.
Kipyo Alexander Han.
