Hey all,
The biodiesel reactor worked perfectly... sorry I
didn't tell you all sooner, it's very busy as I am
very close to moving.
The glycerol dropped out perfectly, the biodiesel was
a very well defined layer. I think I had really good
oil. It was peanut oil that was only used once, for a
deep fried Thanksgiving turkey.
I have approx. seven gallons of fuel from approx. 8
gallons of oil. Currently washed it once and getting
ready to wash it for the second time. I do not think
I will be able to filter it to 5 microns. Other than
that, I think the biodiesel will be ready to use.
For parties interested in starting a biodiesel
cooperative in Athens, I am selling the reactor, the
wash tank, and the two stands. The price is $500.
Help me help you.
Also, last Sunday I came across a flea market type
business on the corner of GA Highways 191 and 281, 4
miles north of Danielsville, that is selling a used
electric water heater. It's a 40 gallon Rheem like
mine, but the design is shorter and squatter. They
want a little much for it, I think- $125. (I got mine
at a Habitat for Humanity thrift store for $50.) The
contact for this used water heater is Mike at
706-248-0984.
I move back to Michigan on July 14. My three
roommates and I are having a going away shindig at our
apartment at 892 College Ave... starts at 6pm. Stop
by, say hello and see the reactor and the biodiesel.
I wish you all well in alternative fueling.
Peace brothers and sisters,
Ryan
