Job Description:

The Software Developer will serve as a project resource with the client's
Portal Office and have the responsibility of working with a 3rd party
Vignette Professional Services implementation team. This includes working
with the defined project team to design, develop, test and implement
enhancements to the client Vignette Content Management version 7.3.0.3+
application and the Vignette Application Portal version 7.0+.
The selected candidate must have expert knowledge of web-based technologies,
be able to work with a diverse project team, and work in a highly visible
and changing project environment with aggressive timelines.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring technical architecture and programming standards are adhered to
throughout the project
- Working with a diverse team of client's IT personnel to define system
requirements and detailed design documentation.
- Following a project schedule and assignments as assigned by the
responsible Project Manager and Lead Developer
- Reporting status to the responsible Project Manager and the verbally and
in writing
- Evaluating, designing, developing, integrating, testing and implementing
system enhancements to the client's portal in the Vignette Content
Management version 7.3.0.3+ application and the Vignette Application Portal
version 7.0+ environments using the Vignette Dynamic Portal product.
- Evaluating, designing, developing, integrating, testing and implementing
system enhancements to the client's portal using J2EE or .NET as required.
- Fostering a strong working relationship and communication level with
client's IT staff, management,representatives, program staff and the 3rd
party vendor

Required Skills: · Two years hands-on portal/content management system
development experience using Vignette V6+/V7+, MCM, Epicentric Foundation
Server/Vignette Application Portal (VAP)
· Two years developing scaleable, reusable UI portal/content management
templates using CGI/TCL/JSP/ASP, XSL/XSLT, HTML, and CSS
· Three years of programming and/or systems analysis experience of which at
least two years must have included programming techniques and software
design, building distributed systems architecture or middleware, or
performing object oriented analysis/design (OOA/D)
· Completion of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer
Information Systems, Software Engineering, or similar field from an
accredited four-year college or university
· Two + years full project lifecycle experience in implementing web based
systems
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Two + years specific solution experience integrating Enterprise
Information Portals and legacy systems Integration

Minimum Years of experience needed for required skills: Two years unless
otherwise noted

Preferred Skills: · Experience developing custom display templates, content
items, and VCMS 7.x customizations using CDS or Vignette Dynamic Portal.
· Experience defining project/software release scope, developing design
documentation, defining work-breakdown tasks, estimating level-of effort
· Experience deploying, configuring or tuning SunONE Application Server, Sun
Java System Application Server, or Apache HTTP Server
· Experience building web applications using Java technology including JSP,
Java Servlets, and J2EE
· Sun Java certification
· Experience with database modeling & querying using SQL with particular
focus using Oracle 9+

Experience developing in Windows & Unix environments
