Hi all:

Just a quick note to let you know that I've posted an article describing my
8-inch travelscope. I built it a few years ago and the state of the art has
moved on since then -- there are many travelscopes more compact than mine (as
readers of S&T will soon see). That said, my scope is as portable as I *need* it
to be. It fits into an airliner's overhead compartment and as a result it's been
my travel companion for many trips far and wide. And it's one of the few scopes
I've built that I think of as being really truly finished.
