James Lee Burke

Okay, so I see that James Lee Burke has a new book called Rain
Gods. But it doesn't feature Dave Robicheaux and it's not set in
Iberia Parish so I was only going to listen to the sample and
probably stick it on my wish list. Right - best intentions, ya? I
listened to 3 minutes of sample and I'm downloading now because Will
Patton is narrating and I think I caught some fine prose. (Oooooh,
be still my heart!)

Omg. Look what you guys have done to me? Now my tblt (to be
listened to) pile is growing again. I've got to finish 2666
(Bolano) - a huge triumph imo, although it includes a lot of
graphically intense violence against women. And then I want to keep
going on Ulysses (one chapter every two weeks shouldn't be that
bad). Guernica by Dave Bolling is waiting to be started along with
a couple John Lescroart detective novels. This list is only recent
purchases and I really want to get The Accidental Billionaires too,
but I managed to resist and it's on my wish list.
