In Romanian we have 'sfrijit' 'weak, without power'
and the related verb is 'a sfriji' 'to loose the power , to become
weak'

Alb. sfilis <-> Rom sfriji ???
would be
PAlb spilic^a <-> Dacian? spilig^a (> *filig^a > *s-firig^a >
*sfrig^a > *sfriji)

if so the (new) s- was restore by analogy 'recently' (after s>sh in
Albanian)

The Romanian verb is marked UNKNOWN in DEX.

P.S. The meaning is closed to Latin fragilus and the phonetism 'is
almost identical' to Latin frigidus...
