My patch of mixed bamboo has needed thinning to halt my wife's
accusations that it is 'out of control'.

I'm using the poles to bind to the chain link fencing around the yard.
I've been cutting poles at the ground with a 'sawzall', and dragging
to an area of the yard that's clear. I trim the leaf shoots from the
nodes, and stack the poles until I'm ready to use them. I'm left with
a large pile of foliage, branches and tops.

I'm thinking that a small shredder to process the trimmings would
improve the process and provide spreadable mulch. Any responses and
advice would be welcomed - particularly recommendations for equipment.
