  you should validate each and every methods are available in controller,if
session is exists or not,if exists do the process else you should redirect
manually into login page.

I got solution.  To solve the above issue we need clear the cache files by using
below code
$this->output->set_header('Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate,
post-check=0, pre-check=0');
$this->output->set_header('Pragma: no-cache');

Hello friend,
you can use  session variable to stop this hapening.
you must have to initiate session variable at signin .
and during logout you have to unset that session varible.
then you will be succeed.
for session start you can use following code

$_sessio["userid"]=$userid;

and at logout

unset($_sesssion("userid"));
?>

Hi Viji,

First open your httpd.conf file (apache configuration) and check severroot
and documentroot folder.

If documentroot / virtualhost folder path is given c:\wamp then you can use
http://localhost/yii in your browser.

Hi,

I'm facing an unexpected issue of data caching and don't know where could be
the issue and how to go about fixing it.The issue is-

Php script is unable to show the updated records in mysql database. Its
caching the records of db as retrieved in first execution of script and
showing the same set of records even after updating(and truncating) the
database table.

More specific details are illustrated below with my actual eg-
I'm having a simple php scripts which fetches records from a mysql db table
(using select * from abc) and prints out the values.
the file is hosted at a live webserver for which i have ftp access.
To begin with, say if i have 10 records and execute the script , im getting
the correct records. But the problem is when i update the database with new
records.
say i added 5 more records and run the script, then i suppose to see the
total 15 records but m seeing the the same output as i used to get before
update. i.e , updated data is not being retrieved by script.

I tried clearing browser cache, checked in different browser also but
nothing helped. I also made sure that data is committed in db by running raw
sql select query on live server db.
Just to trouble shoot i changed the file name of the php script on server
and tried executing it. this thing worked at the first time. but again when
i updated db and tried executing script it didn't work.

I'm not sure where the data is cached and why it is unable to show the
updated content on the server database.

I'd really appreciate any help on this issue.

Try the script in your localhost. If it works fine, the caching may be
at the live server end.

If you have further doubts, please send the php file to me and I shall
test it at my end.

In each iteration, I'm sending mail -> updating tables in db -> sleeping for 6
sec -> continue;

When i tried to run this script on live server, i got this error:

408 Request Time-out
This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server. If it
should not be timed out, please contact administrator of this web site to
increase 'Connection Timeout'.

Can anyone help me figure out where could be the issue?

http://www.php.net/manual/en/info.configuration.php#ini.max-execution-time

The server administer might have set this to a low value. Additionally,
the timeout might also be set in the web server as described in the manual.

Therefore, you have to contact your server administrator to increase
this time.

You have to increase the Request timeout in your webserver. This may not be
possible if you are working on a shared host.
If you are using Apache, you have to add a TimeOut directive to either your
server or your virtualhost configuration

Guys.
This is not about php's maximum script execution time. This is about the
server's request timeout limit. The first limits the amount of time php can
take in executing a script, the second limits the amount of time the server
waits for breaking a request if the response has not completed. Do not
confuse between the two.
Even if php's execution time is high enough and the server request timeout
is low, the execution will still fail.

Just wanted to let you know that there's a Developer Day taking place on the
27th. Here's the details of the event being organized by Langoor,a web services
and products agency based out of Sydney:

Langoor is organizing the first of its kind Development & Designer Jam in India.
Langoor plans to release SDKs/APIs for the competition that can be used by
participants to develop features and themes. The JAM is a two-week long online
competition that starts from 28th March and runs till 10th April, 2011. They're
offering prizes worth 1 lac for grabs!

Langoor is also organizing a Developer+Designer Day (workshops) specially in
Bangalore on 27th March at IEM auditorium, RV College of Engineering. Langoor
team will release the SDKs/designer kits and educate the attendees in using them
to develop features and themes
