Hello Everyone, My name is Joseph Flaherty and look forward to meeting you at BarCamp. I'm pitching in on organization with some design help. To that end I ...
Nice work, Joseph! #1 and #2 have the clearest themes & Boston relevancy, I think (#4 is a good concept, but a little unwieldy). Considering we did a...
Here's a larger version of that image (or just click "original" size): http://d.yimg.com/kq/groups/16448900/hr/1955011186/name/bar_camp_logos_presentation.jpg ...
Cool! I'll pile on and say that the lantern (#1) is my favorite, and I even kinda like the "rss stripes" in it. It represents what we're doing pretty well,...
I guess I will chime in and say the lantern is by far my favorite as well. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I will of course convince as...
Which ever logo is chosen, I'd like to get a transparent-backgrounded 135x135 PNG'd version (of just the symbol) for the wiki. Joseph ... will you be able to...
With no votes for anything other than the lantern so far, can I propose that if we use that design, we do so with a different shirt color? Black is the new...
That black shirt would look fantastic. Will the budget cover a large "full chest" logo sizes or do we need to stick to pocket-sized? Depending on usage, it...
Keith Erskine will be holding another MobileCampBoston this month at the Tang Center at MIT on Sat. March 21. It was great last year and some really...
Hello Everyone, Thanks to everybody who responded to the logo proposal, your feedback is greatly appreciated. It seems like the lantern is the favored logo by...
All, I have uploaded some new logo comps following on the lantern theme. I cleaned up the symbol, added the "4", and have proposed a few mock ups for color....
Yes -- Let's meet at BetaHouse again, at 6:30pm on Monday, March 9. Sorry for the late notice, and thanks for the reminder Mike! Please add your name at: ...
Black for regular, gold for sponsors sounds good. I like the font for Boston on the 3rd best as well; I'd be satisfied with the 4 on the 3rd, also. Lantern...
Hi everyone, I designed some banners incorporating the new logo for promotional purposes. I based the sizes off the banners used last year and also came up...
I'm starting to toss around some designs for our static page at barcampboston.org. Is there a PSD or SVG of the lantern/barcamp logo I can have to fool with? -...
Hey Jeff, I have the the original .ai and can provide it to you in the formats requested when I get back to my desk this evening. In the meantime you can grab...
Should the wiki advertise the attendance limit of 450 now? We might get more immediate signups but it could affect the odds of that person showing up. (right...
Yea, I'd rather wait until we get closer to the limit, then shoot an e-mail to the first 250 or so (who have signed up far in advance) who haven't donated...
If you think is is likely that we will hit the cap, it would be fair to mention it. Are we likely to cap out? Is there any contingency to get more space if...
Hello, I politely disagree with Jon. I think we should at least mention it on the registration page. We don't have to make a big deal about it until/if we near...
Fair enough. I'm all for transparency. It's just that we haven't put a whole lot of thought into what that number should be (right now, it's just a multiple of...
If an individual session fills up at a BarCamp, how & when does the cap occur? ( I only caught some last-minute roundtables last year ) * Do the people who...
Just some thoughts... We had 175 at peak when we had BarCampBoston at MIT in 2007. We had the schedule board in the Foyer area just outside of the Auditorium....
At Mashup Camp, I think they tend to try and set an upper limit of 250 people... I think that it should definitely be kept below 500 for logistical purposes....
