Photovore based upon SCheadv4   Message List

First of all, I am new to BEAM and this group so a big hello to everyone.

Anyway, I was playing with the SChead circuit and at the last minute decided to turn it into a photovore. Photos and details can be found at http://robots.acmerhino.com

What do you think... a new subspecies or just a freak of nature ?

Thanks, I just updated the photos on the site and included a "dead- bug" view. Everything is built around a piece of stripboard (pcb laid out like breadboard)....

Darren, while I do like the credit, it really isn't based on my design. If you took SChead4 and attached a pair of grounded motors, the behavior is as follows:...

Thanks for the comments, I saw your name on the circuit I used so I thought it would be rude not to give you credit. I didn't find the illusive iVore circuit...

The chip for Dozer/CarniVore V1 is a 74x14 (replace x with HC, AC or whatever). It would probably be simpler for all of us if I just wrote the pin numbers on a...

No, what I meant was by removing the diode, you remove all intelligence. You keep it from locking. A head without that diode will wiggle back and forth,...
