Re: disapointed in the state of pa

Good, good, good. It is at this point the behavioral consultant, preferablly a
BCBA (see directory at www.bacb.com ) is most helpful. The program really needs
to be talyored to produce his seeing the need to improve his own behavior- you
are providing the motivation for him to say "hey need to clean up my act".

I am doing some work in the DE prison system and this is the tough point,
ensuring that the programs can produce motivation for these types of changes.

clearly spelled out...

left for example he would make sure he ate them both not caring about the next
person, he sneaks out at night, is very mean to his brother, he just has no care
for anyone. He wants very much to come  live with me but he gets me so
frustrated ,I also  have my job to worry about ,i cant and shouldnt have to
loose. I have tried every where in pa even the special school (cap program ) my
son goes to where my son continues to get d,and f,s (this is not a resadential)
and even they cant help me out,  Im so tired and frustrated that no one seems to
care. I told my son he cant come to live with me untill he agrees to get help.

If his behaviors are interfering with school then you should be able to document
his needs.

for help in the state of pa? , when after a child turns 14 you can not force
them to see medical help or counseling for there behavior problems , I think
this is pretty bad, when all we want to do is keep them from ending up in the
prizon system and make the right desitions for there selfs and respect others. I
aim pulling my hair out , please if anyone can help with sugestions.I believe
that untill a child is 18 we as parents should have the say in getting them
treatment. I aim tempted to contact the state reprasentative.
