Fortunately we have one board member (and this is the one that was thrown out of
the math meeting by the supt) that really is trying to help our district and
students. Our board meets in one week and I plan to attend this meeting. Since
the supt is on the prowl for myself and other staff members, I am hoping she
"loses" it and gives me the opportunity to take legal recourse against her.
Since this is a public forum, I can only hope she does this and we can finally
put an end to her games and using staff members as toys and to stop playing with
them. Our community has never seen behavior and public persona by a
superintendent. I really want to know what the big secret is about EM? Why is
she so protective of a math program that she knows very little about. Her
background is title 1 reading and not math. Her last four jobs were all funded
by NCLB. I don't make cheese, but I do know when I would make a bad batch
however. Is there "payola" going on between the publishers of EM
and administrators and possibly school boards? I wonder if anyone has ever
really looked into this and how can we stop this from happening?
