I don't have a really good answer for this. I stumbled upon the Twin
Cities stuff a few years agao when I was reviewing the "Scimath"
website in Minnesota, and just picked up a trail from some old reports
that were once on their website (no longer).

Scimath led me to this center at the University of Minnesota

and I found more stuff there.

Just hunting around, basically.

I have heard you can go to the NSF "fastlane" search engine but it's
hard to find much if you don't have some initial information (PI, etc.).

http://www.nsf.gov.awardsearch/index.jsp (I think).

I've also gone to the main nsf website and found some interesting
things going on in my area there, too.
