Wonderful web site!? I have forwarded this email to my mom and sister-in-law who
both live in Prince William.? My sister-in-law is an assistant principal in one
of the high schools in your county and she and I have talked about this math
before.? I live in Illinois.? The schools here have been assaulted by Everyday
Math for years and I have lots of stories about what I've seen as a substitute
teacher and a parent.? Its appalling and I can't believe that Virginia schools
are now following suit.

Many if not all of you know (particularly those of you with K-3
children) that last year our school district adopted a
radical "reform" math program - TERC "Investigations" - that is
undermining our students' education. Despite the fact that this
program has an ongoing record of failure in state after state and
school district after school district across the nation, PWCS is
committed to experimenting with our children using "Investigations"
as the only acceptable elementary math program permitted in our
schools. As parents and citizens, we need to stop the madness and act
now to restore quality, proven, traditional math in our schools.

if you are a resident of PWC and over 18 please read and sign the
