3R AGROCARBON
The innovative 3R - Recycle-Reuse-Reduce - AGROCARBON is an industrialized biochar production zero emission carbonization technology and integrated agro biotechnological process. Plant and animal bone meal based feed material by-products used, including animal bone meals for recycling of natural Phosphorous and Calcium minerals. The process is upgrading by-products to high added-value biological control, plant growth promotion and natural fertilization products for economical and environmentally friendly horticultural organic farming soil cultivations, and providing food crop mineral deficiency and disturbance stress mitigation in temperate climatic regions by restoration of soil natural balance with carbon sequestration potential. Standard industrialized plant design input capacity is 30,000 m3/year throughput per module. The inventor of the patented and IPR know how protected 3R AGROCARBON technology is the Swedish environmental engineer Edward Someus. AVAILABLE FOR LICENSING and alternative commercial cooperation.

Biochar Fund
The Biochar Fund is a social profit fund that completely changes the way in which chronic hunger, deforestation, energy access and climate change are addressed amongst the world's poorest populations: small subsistence farmers at the tropical forest frontier. The fund's systemic interventions create a synergy that breaks and reverses an environmentally destructive, unsustainable and socially catastrophic land use cycle. By doing so, we help communities gain the knowledge, tools and financial means needed to lift themselves out of poverty once and for all. Simultaneously, the biochar concept has the capacity to help tackle climate change in a significant and cost-effective way. It allows us to actively remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Cornell University Biochar
Inspired by the fascinating properties of Terra Preta de Indio, biochar was identified as a soil amendment that has the potential to revolutionize concepts of soil management. While "discovered" may not be the right word, as biochar or bio-char (also called charcoal or biomass-derived black carbon, in the context of agricultural application sometimes called agrichar or agri-char, which we do not adopt due to the wider applicability of biochar for environmental management beyond agriculture) has been used in traditional agricultural practices as well as in modern horticulture, never before has evidence been accumulating that demonstrates so convincingly that biochar has very specific and unique properties that make it stand out among the opportunities for sustainable soil management.

Gardening with Biochar FAQ
When gardeners add biochar to garden soil, we are, in effect attempting to follow in the footsteps of the originators of Terra Preta. Because we don't know exactly how that process worked, nor how we can best adapt it outside its area of origin, we are left to discover much of this by experimenting with our own gardens and comparing observations within our own communities.
