Dear Mr. Mani, if you want to produce charcoal without polluting the atmosphere, use the portable metallic kilns developed by us. They cost only Rs.3000 (US$ 75) each. Just buy one kiln and then make copies. It is not patented. We also conduct training courses on how to use the kiln. The training can also be arranged at your location.

Thanks for information and query.
In our part, rural people chop and burn the wood of PJ. This burning is within a earthen mound covered completely by dust and soil. In this way they create the low oxygen burning. This I referred as traditional pyrolytic method. I am sure in other part of the world also, the local people are using same method. Generally, they do not use any mechanical device to do pyrolytic burning. Hope I a am clear.
