Use isopropyl gas line antifreeze. You can find that at about any auto parts
store, department store or gas station.

I use turmeric, a spice you can find at most grocery stores, instead of
phenolphthalein.

Phenolphthalein is very common at 0.02% concentration not higher such as 1% as
commonly mentioned on videos on youtube and elsewhere.



Does the Pheno have to be clear or the red color solution from the pool store
will kind of work?



i am new to this and not quite sure what type of setup i should build. I am
thinking of Graham Laming EcoSystem but i have a 60G water that i just took
apart and i think that is too large for a beginner but i will put it together
and in the mean time make 1ltr test batch with WVO before making 5G batches to
get into the swing of production.



is it safe to make 5G, 10G, 15G batch in HDPE containers in familiarizing myself
with the process (i already have these containers) or should i simply purchase a
stainless steel cone base reactor. a friend of mine has a 300L/78G that he used
for his methoxide; selling it for $250 is it worth it?
