I'm developing a centrifuge that can be used for making BD. It would be
installed in-line between the pump and the return line going back to the
reactor. The idea is to separate the lighter BD from the heavier glycerine
while processing the BD. It would also be able to separate the BD from wash
water while processing. There is one line going into the centrifuge for
the BD/glycerine (or BD/wash water). There are 2 lines coming out, one for
the lighter BD which would go back to the reactor and the other carrying the
heavier glycerine (or wash water) going to a separate container. This
would eliminate any overnight settling and help prevent BD from winding up in
the glycerine or wash water.
The challenge is to design good seals to prevent leakage and dealing with
out-of-balance spinning assemblies. When a 5 gallon container of BD
spinning at 1000 rpm comes loose, it makes a hell of a mess! It takes a few
days
to clean that up.

yes i clean the same way but doing the same thing on BD seems
