Description

The Biofuelwatch Yahoo Group allows for the exchange of information about the social and environmental impacts of bioenergy production, as well as about campaign news.

Biofuelwatch campaigns against the use of bioenergy from unsustainable sources, i.e. biofuels linked to accelerated climate change, deforestation, bio-diversity losses, human rights abuses, including the impoverishment and dispossession of local populations, water and soil degradation, loss of food sovereignty and food security.

Background information about the organisation, the impacts of biofuel production and campaign news can be found on the Biofuelwatch website, www.biofuelwatch.org.uk . Membership of the Yahoo Group is open to anybody subject to moderation rules - it is not subject to people agreeing with the Biofuelwatch policy.

If you wish to subscribe to email alerts only, not to regular news and discussion, then please opt for 'special notices' under 'your settings'.
