Hello,
You may register for Winter quarter classes in Bioinformatics or Computational
Genomics
Certificate Programs now. Registration closes on Dec. 14th.
The Stanford Center for Professional Development offers on-line Certificate
Programs.
Each Certificate program is comprised of three graduate level classes in
specific areas.
There is no special application process; enroll for the classes in the
Certificate program of
interest and if you earn a grade of B or better for each class, the Certificate
will be
awarded after the final class has been completed. The classes are offered
on-line; lectures
are taped and offered on-line via streaming media two hours after the taping has
been
completed. You are expected to complete all assignments and examinations with
the same
deadlines as the students on campus. Classes in the Certificate programs earn
full
academic credit and units are transferable to the graduate program at Stanford.
A description of the Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics Certificate
programs
with instructions for enrollment may be found at this URL ;

and
tuition costs.

Choose either the Bioinformatics or Genomics Certificate. The Genomics
Certificate has
been revised recently. Stat 366 Computational Biology (offered Autumn Quarter)
replaces
Gene 211 as one of the required classes.
