Pissed off at Pearson Vue for retaining my prints   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #2834 of 2994 |
I registered to take the first compter based NREMT exam earlier this
year. Upon arriving to the test center they mandated me to scan my
finger. I asked them why. They said, to verify who you are. I then
stated, "then you must already have my scan. How did you get that"?

"Sir can you please can your finger or you cannot take the test".

Scanned my finger, pissed off and embarressed in front of others in the
waiting room.

"sir step to the side there and scan again on the other computer".

I scanned again at other scanner.

Another assistant states, "Yep, it's him". I was absolutely infuriated.

A week later, I requested Pearson Vue to destroy my biometric prints,
and all copies. They stated no, and that they have the legal right to
keep my prints on a secure server "to protect my identity". I wrote
the Attorney General who stated that I need to get legal counsel. I
tried and it was a whopping 200 dollars an hr. Does anyone know any
pro bono paths I can take?

On the NRETM site it states to write a waiver within 14 days due to
religious beliefs if you want to waive a scan. I did not do it because
on the registration for Seattle based NREMT test, it did not state they
would use scans. It only stated, "you only need 2 pieces of ID".
HELP!!

This is a good example of the importance of biometric deployers explaining how and why biometrics are being used. It should not be surprising to know that many...
