hello,
I downloaded the blassic.tgz file under Windows.
349146 bytes

I unpacked: gzip -d blassic.tgz
creating
blassic.tar , 349416 bytes

but now I can't "extar" that file

what's wrong ?

... The .tgz file is a .tar file that has been gzipped, as you found when you gunzip'd it. You would use something like tar xvf blassic.tar to unpack that...
