Description
The website of the Brazos Valley Astronomy Club (BVAC).
We are a group of amateur astronomers who live in and around the Brazos Valley of Texas. Be sure to visit our web site at http://www.brazosvalleyastronomyclub.org.
We are interested in sky watching, imaging, and sharing our craft and love of astronomy with each other and the public at large.
The purpose of BVAC is to provide astronomical education, recreation, and research for its members and the public. We get together for star parties as well as club meetings with invited guest speakers to talk about astronomy and astrophysics.
The BVAC is a non-profit group promoting astronomy and related science as a hobby for people of all ages in the Brazos Valley. BVAC is organized and operated within the guidelines and exclusively for the purposes described in Section 501(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
No commercial enterprise or candidate for public office shall be endorsed by the BVAC. Neither the name of the organization nor the names of its officers in their official capacities shall be used in any connection, partisan, nor their sectarian interest.
Those persons wishing to joing the BVAC should make a check out and mail their dues to:
