The February meeting of the BVAC will be this Friday, Feb. 17, at the Physics/Astronomy Observatory, starting at 7:30 pm.

 

Our guest speaker will be Dr. George Kattawar, of Physics and Astronomy, who will talk about atmospheric optical phenomena and who will show a beautiful collection of slides of phenomena such as rainbows.

 

Dr. Kattawar will need a slide projector for his talk, a nice touch for those of us who remember the pre-Powerpoint days.

 

As usual, I will bring the coffee and makings, and will again bring the set of flavored pecans that people seemed to like last month. Could someone bring some sodas and/or cookies?
