Very much so. You only need a couple of watts to get reasonable SPL
out of the FT-1600's. The SI Super T-amp has enough headroom for
reasonable dynamics.

The original T-amp needs to have the input capacitors replaced because
of the early bass roll-off. It's bass is OK for most things, but it
really needs the mod.
