I am aware of the need to upgrade the input caps on the original SI and
I will look into that.

I am interested in how well the Trends amps work with the 1600s too.

The digital amps look so much more energy efficient (carbon footprint,
global warming and all that).

The parts to up fix/mod/upgrade the ST-70 would end up costing as much
or more than a digital amp.

Hmmmm.
