damping for LT 2000   Message List

Hi Bob, Hi all,

After having spent a lot of time on numerous forums, tech docs and
MJK MathCad sheets (not so easy to use :-))), I have eventually
decided to build a LT-2000 with Fostex FE207 according to Bob's
plans.

Just two questions : 1. did someone think of or try to replace
liquid nails with a silicone compound, which in my opinion could
absorb more vibrations than dried liquid nails ? My be this is not
even necessary, Hardi-Backer doing the job properly ?

2. Is the 4" vent inner diameter critical, or may it be very
slightly different (2-3 mm)with according length adjustment ?

I was foreseeing using these speakers with a class-T amp (or class-
D), do you think it is a good idea, mainly for jazz or classic
music ? (the amp is neither built nor even bought !). Room will be
rather small, around 140 sq feet.

Thank you for your advices !

Francois
