Hi there - many thanks for looking, I am now a bit confused as I I
didn't realise wattles were not allowed? Looking at the British
Belgian Club standard I read "Wattles are rudimentary, or as small as
possible, so as not to detract from the shape of the head and neck
plumage. " am I interpreting this incorrectly? I really am interested
in this breed and would like to breed some nice show stock, starting
with the wrong idea in my head could be disastrous LOL
My cocks are only young (born last May) and have had a few tussles -
pulling out each others beards in the process :( could this make the
wattles appear more pronounced?
You Birds look lovley and obviously much more mature than mine are.
Are you in the uk? I would love to buy some Good foundation stock from
a Breeder/exhibitor of this lovley breed.
Many Thanks Again
Karen
