This week, you’ll have no excuse not to hear Erich von Daniken if you want to do so…he’s more ubiquitous than ancient alien artifacts ;). Tonight, on DREAMLAND with Whitley Strieber, you’ll have a chance to hear Dr. Ken Ring. I’ve found his books on near-death experiences (and the crossover with UFO experiences) quite interesting. I also had a tough choice: there was an on-line event, and I almost combined radio and on-line. They are converging, and I am expecting on-air radio to lose quite a bit of ground in the future. For example, I’ve been listening to http://www.live365.com while I’ve been working on this…over 10000 “radio stations”, generally with no commercials or commentary. That’s where you can listen to NIGHTSEARCH on KRVL. I’m back to being a regular guest on there, by the way. Unfortunately, the guest listing for NIGHTSEARCH wouldn’t connect when I was working on this, so no details. Also, I don’t usually list things this far in advance, but I am noting the Bay Area UFO Expo coming in August. It’s an extraordinary event, with many top speakers (Stanton Friedman, Budd Hopkins, Roger Leir, David Jacobs, Bob Dean, Michael Lindemann, Peter Gersten, Jim Dilettoso, Paul Davids, Dr. Norman Bergrun, Ian Christopher, Mike Siegel, and many more!). I don’t go out to a lot of conferences, but I expect to be there all weekend. I hope to know by next time exactly what the arrangements will be, but you should be able to find me there. I’m hoping to get a place to record interviews there, but I know that’s an extra request.

I guess I’m going to have to indicate that this could be a bit irregular (it’s already weird) for the next several months. The book (see below) is now due at the end of September. During that time, something can push the delicate balance out of alignment that enables me to provide this free service. I’ll do what I can to get it out: I consider this a public service. I just don’t want to promise weekly delivery if I can’t deliver.

Just a reminder about the book I’m co-writing for Paragon House with Gini Scott. If anyone wants to be included in the book, please let me know. I have already begun doing interviews. Everyone who is interviewed should get a chance to review their interview prior to inclusion. Also, we will not include comments criticizing explicitly named other living people. The book is about how being involved with UFOs (as a researcher and/or experiencer) has affected people. While it will provide some resources and some overview, the main goal will be to let the readers meet the people involved. Interested parties should e-mail me at UFOBOOK@.... We are waiting for confirmation, but we should be at the Bay Area UFO Expo (http://www.bayareaufoexpo.com ) August 26 and 27 working on it as well.
