I've noticed some buzz about the History Channel UFO specials that ran last week (and you may be able to catch them today). I've seen suggestions that this, THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES movie, and Steven Spielberg's TAKEN miniseries are signs that "the Disclosure" (the phophesied admission by "the Government" that UFOs are real and extraterrestrial) is imminent. We may indeed be seeing some return to UFO interest, however, we clearly are nowhere near the peak interest (in the mainstream media) that occurred in 1997. Mothman is not the way to prepare the public for belief in extraterrestrials. The book certainly doesn't support that (although it does support UFOs, Men-In-Black, etc.), and the movie will presumably have something in common with the book (even if the attitude might be different). Fads in production do come and go: was the media preparing us for time travel with all the Westerns in the 1950s? I'm noticing a revival of weird topics that were hot in the seventies, many of which did not support a simple UFO=ET equation. I'm always happy to see a wide variety of opinions, and it's nice to see new coverage. TNN debuts what looks like an interesting series, THE CONSPIRACY ZONE. It will probably generally cover topics of interest to this list, although the first appears to be more concerned with political topics. I'm also greatly looking forward to Dan Aykroyd's new series on the SCI-FI CHANNEL, which we likely won't see for a few months. Anyway, keep your eye open for Mothman tie-ins, such as on the coming attractions shows.

I will have my next monthly (third Tuesday) broadcast on the Nightsearch Network (http://www.nightsearch.net), on Tuesday, January 15 at 7:00 PM Pacific. There is a very timely and interesting guest I'd like to confirm, but not yet.

If you get a chance, please take a look at it and let me know what information you would like to see included. I want to keep it in a reference format. This weekly (if I can get back to that) listing will focus on the content of upcoming episodes. That should make this a bit lighter and more focused.
