The movie of the season is THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES, due to be released this Friday!. This is a major production, starring Richard Gere. It is officially based on the classic book of the same name by John A. Keel. It should hit all the usual preview and review media, including your local paper. It seems to be quite a loose adaptation: making the John Keel character a newcomer to the world of the weird is quite a switch from the way the book has it, but we'll see. The book affected a lot of people, with its sense that the world could be warped and twisted to "get" one individual. It seems a strange sort of paranoia: the Men-in-Black (and much of our concept of them, prior to the MEN IN BLACK movie, came from this book) are definitely not from the government, and aren't aliens from space either. However, they are not normal humans. The "normal humans"' lives can be ruined just to play a joke on John Keel. In some ways, the book makes it seem that "it's all about John", and I suspect that will come across in the movie.

Also coming up, A&E will do an ANCIENT MYSTERIES marathon on Martin Luther King Day (tomorrow, Monday, January 21).

I will have my next monthly (third Tuesday) broadcast on the Nightsearch Network (http://www.nightsearch.net), on this Tuesday, February 19 at 7:00 PM Pacific. My January one is being repeated on Monday...I thought it went pretty well, with some interesting stories. One was a guy who wanted help digging a UFO out of his backyard (http://www.craigslist.org/best/2063385.html).

This page is still in development, but it is intended to be a reference to the series, both radio and television. This weekly (if I can get back to that) listing will focus on the content of upcoming episodes. That should make this a bit lighter and more focused.
