Hi everyone,
All these ideas that you are sharing seems to be all NGO driven projects. I am trying to find a project that is self-sustaining. It could have been initially development partner funded. I am interested to develop a business model based on these technology and a good part may be in technology, agriculture and communication.
Thanks

dear shahidi have come across a very interesting use of mobile phones for agriculture.in sironj block, vidisha district in MP works an ngo called Pradaan which has about 3000 farmers as their members.this group is being provided 100 mobile phones with cameras who in turn will provide these to the selected farmers. during the sowing and the progress of the crops, these farmers will take pics from the fields and immediately forward the same to a central server connected thru the mobile. the pics then will be analysed by specialists and offer expert guidance to the farmers then and there.i think this is a great example of mobile telephony being put to great use. i hope that more and more of this will be adopted.can our friends comment on this please?opgoel
Dear Fellow Members,
Use of mobile phone for various social purpose is becoming popular day by day. I will appreciate if any member can share experience or refer any project which is dealing with Disseminating information and advisory services to rural farmers or SMEs by using mobile phone.
Remain to hear from you.
Thanks,
Shahid
