Hi,

Yet another milestone in free and local language computing.

Today at Vigyan Bhavan New Delhi, Hindi Software Tools Cd was launched
at 11:00 am (IST).

The CDs were launched by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi in the presence of our IT
Minister and IT Secretary.

It was attended by all major media represenatives and government
officials apart from a few other ministers and members of parliament.

This contained the following Open Source Softwares which run both on
Windows and Linux


1) OpenOffice
2) Firefox
3) Gaim
4) Columba EMail
5) Limewire

Localization and packaging of all these tools was done by
BharateeyaOO.o group ( http://www.ncb.ernet.in/bharateeyaoo ) .
