Sustainable Julian, is it possible? ABSOLUTLY!!!!!

A workshop led by Jim Bell – Ecological Designer

The first step toward a Sustainable Julian, or any other community, is to become renewable energy self-sufficient. The more that Julian becomes renewable energy self-sufficient, the more control its residents and resident businesses will have over the supply and price of the energy they need to survive. Additionally, the more energy self-sufficient Julian becomes, the more its current negative-energy-purchase-cash-flow will be transformed into a positive-energy-purchase-cash-flow back into Julian’s local economy.

While becoming renewable energy self-sufficient in Julian will be the main focus of the workshop, Jim will also touch on the potential for Julian to become water and food self-sufficient.

Bill powers will join us for an update on the Sunrise Powerlink and be available for questions about solar power. Additionally, Jim will be joined by Kathleen Beck, Jeanette Hartman and other Julian locals who will share what they are doing already to help Sustainable Julian become a reality.

MARCH 21- 1PM- JULIAN LIBRARY on hwy 78, just past the post office.

To find out more about Jim and his work, visit his website at www.jimbell.com. Everything on his site is free to print out or just read on line including his two books.
