LEED for Homes: Tips for Successful Projects
June 2 | 2pm ET

Sign up to attend this free online discussion by Ann Edminster, a coauthor of LEED for Homes.

LEED for Homes, like other rating systems, is an assessment tool. This means that while it provides some "how-to" information (at the level of individual strategies or "credits"), it doesn't offer any guidance for how to approach the design and construction of a high-performing home differently than a conventional project. Ann Edminster will offer some of that missing guidance in this webinar, highlighting the role of energy modeling, the value of teamwork both among design professionals and across the traditional design-construction divide, and some useful tools for streamlining the certification process.

Ann Edminster
Ann Edminster is a LEED AP, consultant, and nationally recognized expert on green home design and construction. She is a principal author of the LEED for Homes Rating System and consults to builders, owners, developers, supply chain clients, design firms, investors, and public agencies.

NAHB Green Building Certification: Welcome to the Big Tent
June 18 | 3pm ET

Sign up to attend this free online discussion by GBA Advisor and contributing editor Michael Chandler.

While LEED and other green building groups focus on the very best built homes in America, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is taking a more inclusive approach to the certified green building game. NAHB wants as many builders as possible to learn about green building and achieve at least a minimum level of expertise. Michael Chandler will provide an overview of the NAHB's green building certification program and discuss how it compares to LEED.

Michael Chandler

Michael Chandler is the president of Chandler Design-Build of North Carolina and a certified Green Professional '08, NAHB University of Housing.
