Localization World has announced a call for papers for Localization World
Barcelona. The conference, scheduled for May 30-June 1, 2006, will have the
theme "Working - Together." The focus will be the old, yet new, trend of
industry collaboration. Suggested topics include: internet-based sharing of
translation memories, open-source translation technologies, volunteer and
virtual translation teams, cross-company project teams, unified industry
terminology, new forms of alliances in online market places and authoring
and translation collaboration. The conference will also have focuses on
translation industry collaboration, software, government and nongovernment
institutional translations. The deadline for submissions is January 31,
2006.
