The Gemini v3 is fun to use and is giving much better goto accuracy
than I expected. Spent most of my recent time (what with sailing and
cloudy skies) building an observatory, so this not much observing.
However I imaged the "Ghost of Jupiter" nebulae when I used it as a
test for the Gemini goto. A small planetary nebulae (42 x 36 arcsecs)
at distance 1.3kpc, in a 9mm eyepiece (250mm f/10 SCT) it looks like
a small ball of cotton wool. Curiosity got the better of me and I set
up the CCD to take an image, but with no intention of doing more than
getting a better look. The image, such as it is, is posted
under "nebulae".
