Although I missed the unfortunate excitement of
the past 12 hours or so, I have changed my yahoo
password due to the advice of several people. If you are
changing your password, it may be wise to include a space
in it. I have always been taught that the password
should be alpha/numeric, be at least 8 characters long,
and contain one or more spaces if allowed. The
majority of password-cracking software has a very tough
time cracking passwords that contain spaces. Here's an
example:<br><br>old password: todd1234<br>new password: todd 1
234<br><br>good luck everyone.
You can now create another E-mail address and
pound the hacker with e-mails - by sending him few
thousand E-mails, and saying thanks for hacking the club

Joyce..we just missed Halloween,
huh?<br><br>Things are back to normal and the good folks here are
champs! They keep hitting the Internet with trash, we
rise from the ashes and continue our duties!
<br><br>Have a happy holiday..!<br><br>Jer
Don't fret!.. we're much under control and Yahoo and the Feds are on their way
to:<br><br>ur_judge_jury_and_executioner<br><br>to pay him a visit!
...Jerrytt.<br><br>Have a great holiday..! Jer
WOW! i just came online and discovered this whole club hacking mess. <br>I made
a new password. <br>So, once this is done, I should be safe from the evil
hackers, right?
Yes, Buster's been hacked. Hopefully, he can pick
himself up. As I went to bed, he was trying to get back
on after talking with his ISP. <br><br>As I'll be
vacationing during this period, he and Iggy will work things
out until I return. Keep those questions coming
folks, we're not "dead" ..just diverted (like having to
format your drive!"...<G>..<br><br>Thanks to all!
We're a solid, great group..and will be again..and
again..and again...<br><br>jer
I could believe that, simply based on the (poor)
quality of service which Yahoo is famous
for.<br><br>Also, based on some support replies from Yahoo, I can
also believe that THEY have been
cracked.<br><br>Anyhoo, best of luck on the "new" club.<br><br>The Cadd
is Back.
this harassment of the clubs!!! It is clear someone has access to our passwords
and I strongly doubt it is a hacker. I had a lot of trouble in my club and Yahoo
is to blame for it in many ways.
I just went and channged my password, while doing
it,a message came up that said:<br>"you have now been
logged off,as you are logged in on another
machine"<br>What does that mean???Please, dont let them get me!!I
gotta run to work, wont be home until late tonite, hope
all is well!Brandi
First off - I'm sorry! I click Delete instead of
Reply on your post (still getting used to
this<g>).<br><br>OK - here's the question (copied and pasted):
<br>"Whenever I add anything to my favorites it no longer lists
them in alpha order. It doesn't matter if it is a new
file folder or whatever it adds it to the bottom of
the list. I can't find anywhere in the favorites that
lets you reorganize in any kind of order. Can anyone
help? Thanks Lori "<br><br>Since you mentioned
Favorites - I'm assuming you're using IE. Forcing the list
to "Sort by Name" is an option you get in the
right-click for any Favorite on the list. It makes no
difference which you right - click on, the "Sort by Name"
option will work for every Favorite in the folder. If
you wand to sort sub-folders within the Favorites
folder - hold your cursor over that folder - the
right-click on one if it's Favorites. <br><br>This works the
same for your Programs list as well
(Start/Programs).Right-click on any of the shortcuts in the list, and choose
"Sort by Name" to organize that list as
well.<br><br><br>Iggy
I notice ur_judge etc is listed as a founder in
your group. We have recently had a problem with that
ID in our club too. I also got an email from a
rather annoying member that you might be interested in.
Will email it to you as I deleted it.<br>-Matzo
Keven, as we speak, the hacker is STILL deleting
members and eventually, he'll get the membership low
enough for the club to die out as it was. That's why
we'll be here from now on. We'll be trying to locate
and contact members and we might need a small team to
assist us in the emailing. While I'm away, Buster will
be in charge of reorganizing and contacting the Feds
and Yahoo, etc..thanks for making it back.. We've got
a fine team of "advanced" people that can assist
here while I'm away. I know it'll be in good hands,
and if it happens again, they'll keep trying!
<br><br>Thanks and wish us luck! .. Jer
I have just read the messsage stating no
questions about thw change in the clubs. Do not bother
replying as I now understand. I am just glad you didn't
let the idiots spoil a good thing.<br>Keep up the
good work,<br>Kev.
Thanks for all your assistance in getting set up..they caught me during my
drowsy hour and Buster because I had to wake him up..! ..back in Business..Any
computer problems? <G>.<br><br>..jer
Well, what an evening..<br><br>And you folks
thought your systems were immune to the pittling
hacker?<br><br>Caught in the act, we managed to keep an all night vigil
of communicating and posting so that you guys can
make your way back..!<br><br>..For the present, we're
back in business. <br><br>Buster, as I'll be on
vacation during the Thanksiving holiday, please give
recognion to the great group of members who assisted our
efforts to excel past that traumatic experience:<br><br>
Special thanks to Iggy, Maureen, Breezley,
geo_pocahontas, Buster, and all who assisted in restructing. We
knew if wasn't IF, but WHEN. We're back in
business!...<br><br>See ya'all soon, we hope.. Jer
If you're here, than you know what's going on.
It's going to take a while to get things up and
running while try to fix this mess.<br><br>Things will
get back to normal - don't worry guys. We are not
going to let a setback ruin this great thing we
have.<br><br><br>One request though - hold off on asking what happened
for now. We'll get a post together explaining it all.
I just don't want a hundred posts about as the
first messages in this new club
<g><br><br>Hopefully we'll have this place up and running by tomorrow
night - and get back to HELPING people, instead of
hurting them!<br><br><br>Iggy
One of our own has been hacked. Busterm has been
slandered with libelous posts in his clubs, including the
previous incarnation of this one, and the hackers have
deleted all the clubs of which he was a Founder.
<br><br>I highly suggest that every member take appropriate
precautions and ensure they have up-to-date virus software, a
personal firewall, and (MOST IMPORTANTLY) that you change
your Yahoo password ASAP and regularly from here
forward! <br><br>The Internet is a wild frontier. You had
best arm yourself with technology, common sense, and
good procedures for protecting yourself. Anything
short of that is sheer folly. <br><br>Regards and Be
Safe!<br>Reed
