I understand that the new version of Windows CE
for PPC's allows program development in visual basic.
Does anyone know the version number and if the older
PPC's like the Everex A-10 can be upgraded to this new
version.
I have a newton keyboard left over from when I
had a Newton 2100, and use an adapter from PDA
Concepts and software called "newtkey" to make it work.
I'm sure you can find a used keyboard somewhere, and
then buy the adapter. I built a spare adapter for 1/2
the price of the one from PDA Concepts. If you get
the keyboard, I can e-mail you the plans for the
adapter and the newtkey software too.
There are programs to play mpeg audio on CE right?<br>What's the status of video
mpeg on CE? Is it possible, or are CE devices not powerful enough? Anyone heard
about a TV tuner compatible with CE?
1. I just installed the 2.0 upgrade, should I
install the velo sp1 and microsoft upgrade (2.3 I
think)?<br><br>2. I have heard that an emulator for gameboy games
is out there. Any info on this would be
appreciated.<br><br>Thanks <br><br>Dave
Has anyone experimented with mobile channels? Are
there any others besides MSNBC? I've had some trouble
during syncing as well. Doesn't always download all the
data. Sometimes I have to sync twice or three times. Is
that common?<br><br>Ryan
I just received the upgrade and installed it in
my HP 620LX without a problem. I detected no change
in the performance of the unit and all of the
software works fine! The only problem - as with any HPC
Pro - some old software won't work.<br><br>Randy Sly
My Cassiopeia E11 hardware doc says that you can <br>use a TypeII CompactFlash
Modem. I have not been able to find such an animal. Does such a thing exist?
I'm interested in finding out about when a few
updates to AvantGo 3.0 and CalliGrapher 5.2 will be
available.<br><br>For AvantGo, I need to have to ability to use the
action wheel or cursor pad to scroll up and down
pages.<br><br>For CalliGrapher, there are several issues that need
to be resolved, including the problems with bringing
up the keyboard while using CalliGrapher and
unwanted carriage returns when using the "change case"
feature.<br><br>Any info would be
appreciated.<br><br>Thanks,<br>Brandon
I have to agree on the wonderful product that is
AccessPanel. Fabulously useful. bUseful utilities pak is
slightly more used by me for the HTML editor. Also, Ilium
Software (darn near all of it, especially ListPro),
StingerSoft's Dollars and CEnts (freeware money manager), and
Paul Meyer's Dice Roller (too many late-night
role-playing games). Pocket C's also terrific, if I could just
learn C better...<br><br>Time for the next power-user
to speak up!
For those of you who have purchased additional
titles for your device, regardless of what it was, what
would you say your most valuable/useful/favorite
purchase was?<br><br>For me, it wasn't a purchase. It was
a free copy of AccessPanel Platinum Edition for my
H/PC because I signed up for the limited beta testing
period months back when it was underway. I'd call this
the cheapest "Swiss Army Knife" for CE; bUSEFUL
Utilities Pack has lots to offer and I love it a lot, but
AccessPanel, with all of its features and capabilities
including pasting dynamic Contact information into any
app., a built-in phone dialer with calling card
support, and timer formats for logging calls, etc. would
rank as number one. Close tied seconds would be HPC
Notes (received it for reviewing), DialupMaster (best
communications utility for CE to date!), Conversions In Hand
(200+ conversions makes it a handy add-on for anyone),
and RegEditCE (for all sorts of nifty registry
changes that can work wonders). I could go on and on and
I may on my next post but I'm interested in what
you have to say.
Unfortunately, Inbox only reads text-only mail. I've been able to read mail in
the past that was HTML mail though I saw all of the HTML code too, which was
distracting.
I have some Quicktime movies, and can't convert
them to watch on the Casio. How do I get them in a
format that the casio converter can use?<br><br>I
understand that if it's QT 4 I can't but if it's QT 3 I can
convert. Does that mean I have to buy the QT professional,
and save as a backwards compatable format?
This is great. I hope to find many more users
join as this is a great way to meet fellow CE users
and will get the opportunity to chat with each other,
whether through the Java room or by gathering user names
for Yahoo! Pager on the desktop. Maybe we could even
convince Yahoo! to release a CE client; AOL's trying and
ICQ already did!
Hi. Whenever I get html formatted mail on my
Jornada 680 all inbox displays is "invalid multipart mail
message received". Is there any way to cofigure things so
that I can read these emails?<br><br>Thanks, MIchael
Thanks for setting this message board up. There
is a disturbingly high amount of talent using
Windows CE and I hope this board will allow some of that
raw brain power to be focused into a narrow beam of
intelligence we can all benefit
from!<br><br>Peace.<br><br>Chas Hoard
I'm having a hard time getting my Hewlett Packard 620LX to accept a PowerPoint
program from my desktop. My desktop version is NOT PowerPoint '97. Could this be
the problem?<br>Thanks.
My E-105 was defective, I spoke to Casio and was
told to send it in. I was told it would take up to 2
weeks to get it fixed. They received it on June 22.
Today is July 15 and I am still E-105less. They claim
that the unit has to be replaced because it cannot be
fixed, but they say that they do not have any extra
units in stock. Everytime I call, I'm told to try next
week. I am calling them again on Monday and demand that
some kind of compensation has to given to me. My
question to you guys is, what do you think I should ask
them to do for me or give me? It is very frustrating
to spend about $650 for an item and not being able
to use it for almost a month. Especially when they
told me that it would only be 2 weeks. Please tell me
what you suggest I do?
