Following an enjoyable and constructive conference in Sigüenza in 2006, we are very pleased to announce that we will organize a new discussion about the Caribbean theme in 2009.

 

 We decided to repeat its successful formula with further conferences. To facilitate this we have formed the "Asociación Congresos Geológicos Sigüenza" in Spain. We would like to establish a Sigüenza Series of conferences.

 

If people have a theme they wish to explore in an exceptional environment that fosters contact and discussion, we will provide our organizational experience and contacts in the Sigüenza Parador, Universities of Alcala and Madrid, the town council and the Asociación de Geólogos y Geofísicos Españoles del Petróleo, all of whom are generously hospitable.

 

To all of you who attended the 2006 conference, thank you for your contribution. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2009. By then the proceedings of the 2006 conference will be available as a special publication of the Geological Society of London, edited by Keith James, Maria Antonieta Lorente and James Pindell.
