Eric,
Not a lot of research has been done on this area or subject. A
publication of interest may be the Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal
Research, v. 45 1991. This volume summerizes much of the Los Alamos
effort in geothermal characterization in western Honduras, and includes
quite a bit of about the Padre Miguel.
Heiken, G., Ramos, N., Duffield, W., Musgrave, J., Wohletz, K., Priest,
S., Aldrich, J., Flores, W., Ritchie, A., Goff, F., Eppler, D., and
Escobar, C., 1991, Geology of the Platanares geothermal area,
Departamento de Copán, Honduras: Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal
Research, v. 45, p. 41-58.
I also suggest having a look at the Bibligraphy section on the Honduras
Geology website.

A number of thesis and dissertations from central Honduras may be
relevant.
Dupré, W.R., 1970. Geology of the Zambrano quadrangle, Honduras, Central
America (unpl. Master's thesis): University of Texas, Austin, TX, 128 p.
and
Curran, D.W., 1980. Geology of the Siguatepeque quadrangle, Honduras,
Central America; [tesis de Masters inedita],Binghamton State University
of New York, 194 p.
